Cornish Coast – Hand-Blended British Wool Batt | Sea • Granite • Thrift • Gorse

A little piece of the Cornish coast, captured in wool. 🌊

Cornish Coast is a hand-blended fibre batt inspired by Cornwall’s wild coastline — where soft blue seas meet weathered granite cliffs, pink sea thrift grows between the rocks and flashes of golden gorse brighten the coastal paths.

Created as part of the J&E Home British Landscapes Collection, I designed this blend by choosing each individual fibre and colour to represent a different element of the Cornish landscape.

The blend combines:

• 25% White BFL – soft natural tones and sea foam
• 25% Dream Blue – hazy Cornish skies and water
• 20% Dusk Grey – rugged granite cliffs
• 15% Candy Floss Pink – wild sea thrift
• 10% Cerulean Blue – deeper coastal waters
• 5% Corn Yellow – little bursts of golden gorse

The fibres are then blended by hand at J&E Home, allowing the colours to run, twist and appear differently throughout the batt rather than becoming one completely uniform shade. This means every batt has its own individual character.

Perfect for spinning, needle felting, wet felting, weaving and other fibre crafts, or simply for makers looking for a more unusual, landscape-inspired palette.

As a hand-blended product, the placement and proportions of visible colours may vary slightly from batt to batt — something I think makes them even more special.
